Introduction and Brief Summary

In the Journal of the Evangelical Theological Society article, Euthanasia and Christian Ethics by Millard J. Erickson and Ines E. Bowers, the authors consider the ethical problems Christians face when examining the boundaries of euthanasia. The article begins with the theory that the opinions concerning euthanasia atomic number 18 in constant flux, and that we as Christians should hypothecate the question in a prayerful and thoughtful dash before adopting a concrete view orient which may be difficult to change in the future. The authors of this article are very thorough in their approach to the subject of euthanasia. They point out circumstances in which euthanasia is defined, and try to overhaul the reader assess if it is murder (malicious or passive) or if is it self-annihilation (direct or indirect).
